Here is what I would like from you Daniella Clarke. Now I have been a customer for a very long time and I have more than 20 pairs of Frankie B. jeans. Since I can remember I have only purchased your jeans for years. Now that you have changed the sizing I am unable to purchase the jeans in the department stores or specialty stores like before because the department stores do not carry them at all and the specialty stores either have one pair or you can place an un-refundable. I want you to know that I have only been able to purchase 2 pairs since you changed the sizes which was almost 2 years ago. Now that is sad because I used to buy a pair every 2-3 month and $200 and up. I have been on your website and I know you have some jeans on your website to purchase. The only thing is most of them are old styles that I already have or the size 23′s are all sold out. I would like you to consider selling all your styles on line even the NEW ones because I would like to continue to purchase your jeans. I am a loyal customer and I feel that you should remember the girls that wear your jeans the most. Please update your website and make it easier for me to purchase my size jeans without have to pay extra for special orders and make it possible to return the jeans if they are too big or just don’t fit. I would really appreciate it. PLEASE don’t forget the SIZE 23′s!

I decided to give it a try and go onto the different websites that carried Frankie B.’s and of course not all of them carried a size 23. I clicked on the link to Raw Clothing and at the time I was looking for a pair of Frankie B. slacks for work. I found a pair that I liked and they had a size 23! I was so excited. I clicked on the size 23 black slacks and nothing happened. I continued to click on the picture and nothing. I began to get extremely frustrated so I looked for the number of the store and called. I asked why the site shows that the size is available but yet nothing happens when I click to purchase it. The sales associate told me that they hadn’t updated the site yet and that they were all out of the size 23 slacks. Once again I was so frustrated. Then I asked her if there was any way to get a pair of those black slacks and she said,”Yes, but you will have to order them in your size.” That was good news until I heard that shipping was not free, it cost more to special order my pants then it would to just purchase them in a store, and I don’t even get the option of returning the pants if they didn’t fit. So for the first time I found a size 23 I don’t even know if they are going to fit but yet I am unable to return them if they don’t after paying EXTRA! Now how wrong and annoying is this. So after paying $285 and waiting 7 days for my slacks to arrive I try on the pants and luckily they fit! I was jumping up and down. The excitement was short lived when I realized that this is what I going to have to go through every time I wanted new pair of Frankie B.’s. Way too much money and no guarantee that each pair will fit because we all know that designer jeans don’t all fit the same even though they are the same size. Each pair fits differently.

The search, is there a size 23?

After being so disappointed about the size change I started to go to different stores to see if there was a size 23. Maybe Saks 5th Avenue is the only store that doesn’t carry my size. I went to bloomingdales, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and not one person had ever heard of or even seen a size 23. I was so frustrated. I went home and realized I had completely forgotten to check the Frankie B. website to see if there was even such a size. THERE IT WAS A SIZE 23! So now I knew that size 23 existed and I thought to myself why is no one carrying it! I continued to look on the website to find specialty boutiques thats carried Frankie B. jeans. There are about 4 or 5 stores on the Frankie B. website that have a link to their store websites and you are able to purchase jeans through the website or at the stores themselves.

You may ask why not look for a different brand, well heres why…

So you may be thinking well Frankie B. doesn’t make your size jeans anymore so why don’t you move on to a new designer brand? Well heres why, I am a VERY petite girl, not by choice but by genetics, my parents are very small boned and skinny as well. I always have been and I always will be. So I have tried other jeans actually, I have tried them all. From true religions, 7′s, to Rock & Republics, Page, J-Brand, Hudson, Citizens of Humanity, and Joes. The truth is NOT ONE of them fit. Their smallest sizes still fit me too big. So what am I to do since I LIVE IN JEANS! I want to know why a company who’s target market is small girls who like low rise jeans changed their fit to fit a normal size girl like every other designer jean out there. What about me! I know this sounds dramatic but I did feel like Frankie B. abandoned their customers and went to follow all the other brands.

So one day I went shopping and I wanted to buy a new pair of Frankie B.’s. I went to Saks 5th avenue and there it was a table filled with Frankie B. jeans. I was so excited to try on the different styles. I went to find my size and then I saw it. The size said size 24! I thought “WHAT!” Frankie B. doesn’t have such a size! What happened to my size 00 or 0 now there are 24′s, 25′s and 26′s! So I thought to myself “Calm down and just try on the 24 because they probably just changed the numbers and not the way they fit.” I tried on 4 different pairs of size 24′s. HOW WRONG I WAS!! Not one of them fit, they were all way to big. Then I looked to see if there was even such a thing as a size 23. Nope none! I went up to a sales associate and asked is they had any size 23′s or even Frankie B. even made them. The girl said, “No, I don’t think so and if they do we don’t carry them here.” I was so upset, here I am a loyal customer who buys only Frankie B. jeans and now my size is not even carried in stores.

So heres the deal, I’m not wining but I am very upset with Frankie B. for changing the sizes. I feel that all these stores out there and Frankie B. as well has forgotten that there are abnormally petite girls out there and we need to be remembered. There are many stores that carry plus size clothing but not enough stores or brands that make xxs sizes for girls like me. Now I dread jean shopping and even shopping for clothes in general NOTHING every fits! I am constantly spending more and more money special ordering my sizes and taking my clothes in because I am too small. Something needs to be done because there are more girls like me out there who feel the same way and it is frustrating. Frankie B. were the only jeans that catered to girls like me.

Hardest Jeans to find!!

Not only are Frankie B. the ONLY jeans I buy but they are also the hardest jeans to find! Before it used to be you could only find Frankie B. in speciality stores and random boutiques and good luck trying to find a size 00 or 0. After awhile stores like Saks 5th Avenue, Macys, Bloomindales, The Closet and Metropark started carrying a FEW different styles. I was consistanly on a quest to find my favorite jeans and didn’t care how far I had to drive because at the end of the day I was going to try that pair on and it was going to fit PERFECTLY! There was always at least one 00/0 in the store. Then it all changed…

Now Frankie B’s are not exactly the cheapest jeans out there. They are designer jeans and they happen to be one of the higher priced designer jeans on the market along with Rock & Republics. The jeans normally run from $165-$295 depending on the style. They are very good quality jeans and they are a perfect fit. They are extremely low and depending on the style they are normally skin tight unless you buy the trouser cut. The zipper is about 3 inches-5inches short, yes that is low! They are the only jeans that used to fit my perfectly. The jeans were sized at 00,0,2,4,6,8, and so on. I was a 00,0 which was already hard to find in stores.

Frankie B. is like no other denim brand out their. They are the lowest of the low. Frankie B. fans according to Frankie B. are said to be addicted to the brand and the fit. Most Frankie B. owners are said to have more then 10 different pairs in all different styles. Frankie B. is very popular and has been since it was launched in 1999. Frankie B. is worn by many different celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Charlize Theron, Eva Longoria, Fergie, and many others.

Daniella Clarke, is the creator of Frankie B. Jeans. Daniella’s jeans are the epitome of what a hip hugger should be. Her jeans are extremely low and perfect for small figured girls. Typically girls with “no junk in the trunk.” Daniella is married to Dilby Clarke, the guitarist of Guns and Roses. They had a daughter in 1998 and named her Frankie. Clarke used to cut the jeans that she owned and restitched and sewed them to fit her body. She was strongly inspired by the 70′s and their jeans. She especially liked the brand Ditto jeans. Finally one day Clarke received a call from Ditto and they decided that she would be the perfect person to move the brand in a new direction and she called it Frankie B.
